বাংলাদেশের দীর্ঘতম সেতু পদ্মা বহুমুখী সেতু। কোনাে রূপ বৈদেশিক সাহায্য ছাড়াই বাংলাদেশের নিজস্ব অর্থায়নে বাস্তবায়িত সর্ববৃহৎ প্রকল্প এই স্বপ্নের পদ্মা সেতু। এটা দেশের বৃহত্তম প্রকল্প এবং এটা দেশের সর্ববৃহৎ সেতু। পদ্মা নদীর উপর নির্মিত বহুমুখী সড়ক ও রেল সেতু হচ্ছে এই পদ্মা সেতু। দেশের দক্ষিণ পশ্চিমাংশের সাথে উত্তর পূর্ব অংশের সংযোগস্থল পদ্মা সেতু। ২০২২ সালের ২৫ জুন পদ্মা সেতু উদ্বোধন করা হয়। পদ্মা–ব্রহ্মপুত্র মেঘনা নদীর অববাহিকায় ১৫০ মিটার দৈর্ঘ্যের ৪১টি স্পান নিয়ে পদ্মা সেতু নির্মিত হয়। সেতুটির দৈর্ঘ্য হবে ৬.১৫০ কিলোমিটার এবং প্রস্থ ১৮ দশমিক ১০ মিটার। সুতরাং দেশের নির্মিতব্য সবচেয়ে বড় সেতু হচ্ছে পদ্মা সেতু। পদ্মা সেতুর ভৌত কাজকে মূলত পাঁচটি প্যাকেজে ভাগ করা হয়: মূল সেতু, নদী শাসন, জাজিরা সংযোগকারী সড়ক ও টোল প্লাজা। ভৌত কাজের বিভিন্ন প্যাকেজের জন্য দরপত্র মূল্যায়ন কমিটি গঠন করা হয়েছিল। পদ্মা বহুমুখী সেতু প্রকল্পের পরিচালক ছিলেন কারিগরি মূল্যায়ন কমিটির সভাপতি। ৬.১৫ কিলোটার দৈর্ঘ্য ১৮.১০ মিটার প্রস্থের বিশাল পদ্মা সেতু নির্মাণে মোট খরচ করা হয় ৩০ হাজার ১৯৩ দশমিক ৩৯ কোটি টাকা। এসব খরচের মধ্যে রয়েছে সেতুর অবকাঠামো তৈরি, নদী শাসন, সংযোগ সড়ক, ভূমি অধিগ্রহণ, পুনর্বাসন ও পরিবেশ, বেতন-ভাতা ইত্যাদি। বাংলাদেশের অর্থ বিভাগের সঙ্গে সেতু বিভাগের চুক্তি অনুযায়ী, সেতু নির্মাণে ২৯ হাজার ৮৯৩ কোটি টাকা ঋণ দেয় সরকার। ১ শতাংশ সুদ হারে ৩৫ বছরের মধ্যে সেটি পরিশোধ করবে সেতু কর্তৃপক্ষ।

১০। Write a paragraph on ‘Dhaka Metro Rail’

The Metrorail project under Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited is a timely and groundbreaking project to decongest and de-congest the capital Dhaka. Public transport like Metrorail can be an effective alternative system to handle the pressure of the large number of passengers and vehicles in the capital city of Dhaka of around one and a half million people. Metrorail is an electric vehicle. Trains with more modern facilities will run over the railway line laid on Udal Road. The length of metro rail from Uttara to Motijheel in the capital will be 20.01 km. This long route will have 16 stations. On December 28, 2022, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina completed the inauguration ceremony of Uttara to Agargaon Metro Rail. The first phase will have 9 stations from Uttara to Agargaon. Each train will have 6 coaches. Each room will be spacious and air-conditioned. There will be comfortable seats for passengers. There will be a special compartment for women. 14 trains will run on the Uttara-Motijheel route. Each train can carry 942 seated passengers and 574 standing passengers. The train takes 38 minutes to reach its final destination at a speed of 32 km per hour. Passengers will pay the fare at the machine through an automated card. The maximum rent has been fixed at a minimum of 20 taka, and a maximum of 100 taka. The possible completion of the Metrorail project is 2025.
