Written Math Solution:

Question 1 :: Simplify ::

[(3-x)(x+2)+(-x+4)(7x+2)-(x-y)(2x-y)]-3x² – 7x+5

= 3x + 6 – x² – 2x + 28x + 8 – 7x² – 2x – 2x² + 3xy – y² – 3x² – 7x + 5

= 20x – 13x² – y² + 3xy + 19 (Ans)

Question 2 :: An equilateral triangle is inscribed in a circle with radius 10 . Find the area of the triangle.

[ a ÷ sinA ] = 2R => a = 2 × 10 × sin60° = 10√3 cm

So , Area => [ √3 ÷ 4 ] × [ 10√3 ]² = 75√3 cm² (Ans)

Question 3 :: A salesman sells two shirts at BDT. 594 each. On one he gains 10% and On the other he losses 10%.Find the gain or loss percent on the whole.

#Solution (i) => [ Ratio method ]

10% profit => CP : SP => [ 10 : 11 ] => [ 90 : 99 ]

10% loss => CP : SP => [ 10 : 9 ] => [ 110 : 99 ]

So , Total CP = [ 110 + 90 ] = 200 tk

& Total SP = [ 2 × 99 ] = 198 tk

So , Loss = [ 200 – 198 ] = 2 tk

& Loss % = [ 2 ÷ 200 ] × 100 => 1% (Ans)

#Solution (ii) => [ Effective percentage ]

10 – 10 – [ ( 10 × 10 ) ÷ 100 ] => – 1%

So , Loss => 1% (Ans)

#Solution (iii) => [ Applying MF ]

[ 11 ÷ 10 ] × [ 9 ÷ 10 ] × 100 => 99%

So , Loss => 1% (Ans)

Question 4 :: A solution made up of 40% alcohol by volume is mixed with 4 litres of Solution that is 10% alcohol by volume.How much,in litres of the 40% alcohol solution is needed to make a mixture that is 25% alcohol by volume.

ATQ , 40A + 10B = 25 ( A + B )

=> 15A = 15B

=> A = B

=> A : B = 4 : 4

So , Ans is 4 litres.

Question 1 :: If 24 machines can make 5 devices in 30 minutes, How many hours will it take 4 machines to make 15 device ?

ATQ , [ 24 × 30 ] ÷ [ X × 4 ] = [ 5 ÷ 15 ]

On solving => X = 540 minutes

=> X = 9 hours (Ans)
